Everything but Jam and Toast

Hey Readers!

Welcome back this week! I have one more final tomorrow and then I am half-way through my Sophomore year of college! Wow, time flies when you're having fun, eh? I can't believe all of the wonderful things that have happened recently… I am truly blessed. To think I started this blog back in August, it seems like such a long time ago, but it has flown by! This is the 29th post here on the blog and I have had so much fun doing this. At first, when I was thinking about starting a blog, I wasn't sure that I could keep it up and if I did, I really didn't think anyone would read it. Well, I was wrong in both respects. I feel so proud in this "friend" and diary I call my blog. It has come such a long way. I am so grateful to those who helped me start this, including my mom and dad and of course my sisters and grandparents. They have always been such a strong support system for me and motivating me to go after something I am passionate about is one of the many blessings they have given me. All the things we've shot to be on the blog, with both Molly and Julia have been so amazing. All the fun locations so far we have gone to, the people we've met (Simon Doonan etc), I can't believe it. Everyday is so exciting for me. To read the positive comments, to hear great feedback, it makes me so happy. I hope to continue on this upward path and to make a difference, in even one person's day, by just reading something I wrote is what I strive for.

In order to not bore you any further, I thought it would be helpful to share with you all three quotes that I keep close to my heart.

"We rise by lifting others." Robert Ingersoll
"Know who you are and know that it is ENOUGH."
"Find something you are passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it." Julia Child

And with that, let's get on with the outfit for today! Make sure you check out our video!!! Also you'll catch some secret project footage!! CLICK HERE

I chose to keep it simple and comfortable, but chic and pulled together. I'll be honest, sometimes I neglect the idea of going into my closet and picking out something cute. A lot of the time, I wear something sporty like leggings and a sweatshirt and sneakers. We'll classify that as sporty just for the sake of making me feel better, hehe.

Check out my new glasses! Hello, Four Eyes!

For this outfit I chose an all black base outfit. I pulled on black skinny jeans and a long sleeve black top. Then, in order to add texture and comfort I chose a long neutral sweater. I wore my little ankle booties and my accessories were a necklace and vintage watch my nana gave me.

Black Shirt; Zara. Black skinny jeans; Articles of Society. Sweater; Kohls. Ankle booties; JustFab.

My hair was curled and my make-up look was very glow-y with a smokey eye and light pink lip. I love this comfy chic look!! As for the set we created, it has been verrrry cold outside so we have been trying to come up with creative ideas to do things inside! We used one of the art studios at my school and set up a tattered chair with a draped blanket (My roommate Rachel's.) We added some cute props including an old picture frame and some industrial pieces we found in the art department. Of course, I can't forget my tea mug with my K on it! This was such a fun shoot! We jammed out to Queen Beyonce and had a ball experimenting with new lighting and sets!

Thank you so much for reading, all!

Greyfully Yours,
K
