K Takes New York

Hi Everyone!!

Welcome back this week to WGSAY! The end of this week is going to be hectic for me. Today Julia and I will be shooting and tomorrow as well we are working on a fun post that will be coming up before you know it! Some really fun things are in store for us and I am so excited about them all. Speaking of excitement, I wanted to share with you all a very special experience I had a couple of weeks ago. Some of my friends and I took a trip to the "Big Apple," New York City. It was so much fun and we did so much all in one day! From Fifth Ave to Soho, we saw it all(most).

Our first stop when we got to NYC was of course to get some food because we were so hungry and we happened to walk past Fashion Ave. It's right off of Broadway and we stopped in a little place called "Brgr" for some early lunch.

Next we hopped on the subway (which I've never done before) and got off at Times Square. It was so exciting to take it all in, there was something to look at in every corner.

Of course we had to go shopping so we hit numerous stores. First was Sephora, then H&M. This H&M is incredible, they even had their own DJ! So groovy!

Lucky for us, we ran into Minnie and Mickey Mouse while we were bopping around!

After we were done in Times Square we headed over to Rockefeller Center and stopped in the NBC gift shop. Along the way, we passed Radio City… I wish I could be a Rockette, but who am I kidding, I can't even touch my toes so that dream isn't looking too bright. On the upside, I took a "selfie" with Matt Lauer. Kind of.

My favorite part was watching all of the people ice skate. Coldplay was on in the background and as I looked around at my friends I was hit with the strong feeling of gratitude. Having them there with me was amazing. I'll never forget this trip, it was so memorable.

Next was my favorite part of the trip, Fifth Avenue. It's just as elegant and grand as everyone says it is. I was so happy to be there and we passed by so many stores that struck my fashion chords hard. Just to name a few; Zara, Saks Fifth Ave (of course), Harry Winston's and we saw THE Tiffany's where Audrey Hepburn played Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

When we came to the end of 5th we saw The Plaza (I had an Eloise moment). We also stopped into F.A.O. Shwartz. It was so cool to be in all of these places, even if some were filled with giant teddy bears and toys.

After we took a stroll by Central Park, we headed over to one of the last places of the day; Soho. It was awesome to see a totally different aspect of New York that has a unique vibe. I stopped to take a couple pictures of what I was wearing. Nothing too special, but I was comfortable and warm all day so I was very happy with my choice of black jeans and grey turtleneck. I accessorized with my favorite plaid scarf and a gold statement necklace. I wore my combat boots since we were walking all day and carried a big black tote. My hair was in messy waves and my make-up was very light and natural.

This day trip was so much fun and I wish I could have brought you all with me! Since I couldn't do that, I filmed most of the action and put it together for you guys so that you can be a part of my dream come true trip!! Please take a look! Enjoy :)

Thank you so much for reading and tune in next week for a chic outfit!

Greyfully Yours,
