Beacon of Hope

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Finally we've been seeing a little bit of Spring rearing it's lovely head. Last week we had a perfect day to shoot so we travelled over to a little piece of Boston that we haven't ever explored… Beacon Hill. This place is so beautiful, I made it a new goal of mine to live there one day. The quaint neighborhoods are gorgeous and very Revoluntionary looking. The front doors to most homes are right on the curb with beautiful window boxes. I can't wait to go back over there when everything is in bloom.

Since the weather permitted, I styled a very spring-y outfit for this post. Trends that I have been loving for this season are pastels, boyfriend jeans very natural make-up. So of course, I included most of what I love for this outfit! I wore my skinny fit boyfriend jeans that are slightly distressed and paired them with my white peplum shirt.

Since it was pretty windy, I decided to bring along my fur jacket. For other accessories, I wore this periwinkle necklace and nude cutout heels. These shoes are so awesome and they are very on trend. One of the styles that is emerging again is the "mule." They are almost like a clog (I know, sounds weird) with a heel and many are in nude colors. These Nine West shoes of mine have that vibe to them only a little more secure with the ankle strap. I love that they have a peep toe as well so you can see my lavender nails!

As for my hair, I gave it a good blow dry and parted it slightly to the side. My make-up was very natural with a little berry pop of color on my lips. My eyes were very simple with just a couple coats of mascara. I love this look because it's elegant and perfect for day or night. I always feel best when I look like I haven't caked on my make-up. I also suggest embracing one's natural features. If you have bold brows, let them be your focus. If you have perfect lips for color, accentuate them. Enhancing what you already have is awesome and I've found that it really helps in loving your body!

This outfit is perfect for spring and is very versatile. You can wear it during the day or dress it up for night too! Don't be afraid to mix textures and silhouettes. You can definitely wear your boyfriend jeans with a girly top!  I hope you enjoyed this post! Tune in next week to see what's new!
