La Crème de la Crème

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am now on summer break! I am so happy to be back home to relax and have a change of scenery, although I miss my beloved city already. Being home also means working with my lovely and talented sister Molly again on the blog. This is our first shoot back together since around Christmas time. I am so excited to see what comes this summer! CHECK OUT OUR VIDEO!! click here!

Today on the blog is a great Spring and Summer trend: shades of white. I'm very fond of this look, especially the shade of cream. I think it is so elegant and soft, but the monochromatic theme is modern and eye catching.

I started with this adorable lace overlay tunic. It is long enough to wear as a dress, but instead I wore cream trousers underneath. I cuffed them a couple times to just below my knee so that they act as cinched culottes. I then layered my vintage Ann Taylor blazer just to add some sharpness and shape. Alone, the tunic and bottoms are quite shapeless. I chose to wear the blazer to pull it all together and add another shade of cream to add dimension to the outfit. With three pieces of cream, the eye notices each one, and with any monochromatic look, I think that's a great thing.

For this shoot, we shot in a very woodland area with lots of grass and trees. I think the scenery really compliments the look don't you? It looks like I'm ready for a garden tea party!

For my hair, well I didn't do much, I went for the undone and messy look. This is generally how my hair looks completely natural, all I did was add some texturizing spray at the roots for some volume. For my make-up I bronzed up my face and did a light smokey eye. I also popped a nice neutral berry lip color on as well.

I hope you all enjoy this look as much as I do! Get ready for some fun in the sun this summer!

Greyfully Yours,
K
