On The Run

Hello Everyone!

Today on the blog I have something that's a little different from what I've done before! Lately, I've been seeing in magazines, on tumblr, etc. the trend of the sneaker with high fashion outfits. Brands like Nike, Adidas and New Balance have become chic looking and the daring ones have paired them with outfits that they would wear out. Suddenly, style meets comfort in the most literal way. What's better than a sneaker? Okay, I'll admit, heels may look better but really, a sneaker is the ultimate. Make sure to check out my YouTube video and to subscribe to my channel. The music was done by my friend Leif Harder!

I started with this denim romper and paired that with the sneakers. I then added my favorite white blazer to sharpen up the look. Easy as that, you have the outfit!

For my accessories, I chose my favorite silver necklace and my tennis bracelet. I also used this great vintage coin purse that was my nana's. Last but not least, I brought along this cheetah print baseball hat. This trend has been everywhere. In leather, burlap and several other materials, this style brings in some tomboy chic. Mine is actually a men's hat from Forever 21. Of course, with out the hat, the outfit still looks great. I just thought I'd throw something in to spice it up.

My shoes are Nike Fusions in black and silver. These are so comfortable and light. They add a sporty vibe to the outfit and are cool for kicking back.

For my hair, I straightened it for the first time in months. My make-up was a contoured face and bold eyes. I wanted my eyes to pop and look doll-like so I created a pink and bronze smokey eye with black liner on top and on my bottom waterline I used white eyeliner. The white opens and brightens the eye. I also used two coats of mascara.

I love this look and I hope you do too! Try something new next time you're getting ready and have some fun with what you're wearing! Even the simplest trick such as a pair of sneakers will bring in a different element than anyone else in the room.

Greyfully Yours,
K
