Class of '77

Hello Everyone and Happy Thursday!!

I hope everyone is getting ready to bring out their patriotism for the Fourth of July! I know I am! Last weekend Molly and I hopped on the train into Boston to do something really fun! Although being in Boston is fun in itself, we had something planned to make it even more fun. One of my relatives works at the store "Scotch and Soda" on Newbury Street and has fabulous taste so she offered to "style" me in several outfits and we took pictures of each outfit! This store is so awesome, the clothes are insane and they all seem to have a great retro vibe that carries through. Vintage inspiration is everywhere on the racks and each piece has a great sense of individuality. The jackets, I adored and the printed sets were to die for. The outfits that Alissa styled me in all had that great '70's air about them, each one different from the other. Being that each ensemble had it's own personality; the "jock", the "diva" the "prep-ster", the title is therefore called the "Class of '77"! Take a look! Also, make sure to check out the AWESOME video that goes with todays post!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmMi1C45xgk&feature=youtu.be

First was the conservative band player. She always likes to look nice and feminine but also likes to show people her outgoing personality through the color she wears! First we started with this gorgeous mint blouse. Then these classy cobalt blue chinos have a super cute salmon pink and black pinstripe down each side, elongating the leg. I cuffed them at the end and paired that outfit with my BCBG sandals. Love this look!

Next was the casual and cool girl. She makes looking comfortable look so easy and stylish all at the same time. Even with "jeans" on she looks laid back! These denim relaxed fit track pants are the ideal pair of jeans a girl could ask for. Alissa paired them with this adorable Hawaiian printed blouse that pulled out the blue hues being with the denim pants. I had worn this hat into the city (an item stolen from my mother's closet) and it went great with this look! Lastly, I wore these ultra cool sandals that just add to the easy but trendy look!

Next is the jock! This is one of my favorite outfits that I wore. You would think this is a romper right? Well, you're wrong! It's actually a shorts and shirt set with the same print. The bold color is great and really brings in the retro vibe and the cut on these shorts is adorable. We styled the outfit with a straw hat for part of it and also paired the set with my ankle strap sandals. So effortless!

The diva, the beauty queen with a heck of a lot of sass, is up next. This was my favorite outfit by far. Here Alissa picked these amazing floral printed cotton pants and paired them with the striped shirt with anchor buttons down the side. The mixing of the prints is fabulous and the cat eye sunglasses with the black pumps makes you think of the days of Audrey. I felt so feminine but so bad *** all at the same time; the ultimate woman.

Next we have the daredevil. This girl is fearless and wears what she wants because she knows she can work it. This striped short sleeve sweater is lightweight and cool so that it's not too heavy to wear with jeans on a summer day. These flower printed skinnies are super cute and fit great. We chose the ankle strap sandals again for this outfit to keep the unique elements going.

The prep-ster was pulled from Scotch and Soda's Fall and Winter line! We loved these pieces and just had to include them in this shoot. The blouse is striped with the tiniest of Peter Pan collars; so adorable, and these burnt nantucket red jeans went perfectly. Finally, the jacket was a little much even for the prep-ster at school, but we kept it throughout the pictures. The envy blue is classic and goes with everything and I love how they carried the striped pattern through the lining of the coat to match the shirt! Too cool for school!

Lastly we have the casual girl with a fashion sense. First, we chose these awesome boyfriend jeans that are quite skinny throughout the leg. Then, Alissa chose this bright yellow Hawaiian printed, boys shirt. Yes, this shirt is from the men's side of Scotch, which I think is so cool! I wore my BCBG sandals to finish off the be achy relaxed look. Surfs up!

There you have it kids! This shoot was so much fun and hopefully we'll be doing something similar come the fall! A huge thank you to Alissa Mezzetti for her brilliance in styling this shoot and to Molly Grey for taking the awesome pictures! Please don't forget to watch our video lookbook! This one is a little longer than usual but gives you such a good look behind the scenes and more details of what I was wearing! Each outfit even has their own song!!
