They say, "be careful what you wish for."
Last week I was dreaming of the autumn weather that we have been waiting for. Well, guess what showed up?
For this windy day I decided it was best to layer up and add lots of textures. Of course, for days like these, where cold temperature and wind are both factors, a sweater and pants is the best combo. My grey and camel knit sweater is great to have on over a long sleeve t-shirt for that extra chill and I love the mock turtleneck. These pants are a very light material so I squeezed them in before I have to put them away for the season. My trick? Layer tights under any breezy material such as this!
As for my accessories, I pulled out some leather. This burgundy leather vest is vintage J.Crew. I love that it has that "moto" feel. My cranberry cross body is a great purchase from Banana Republic and really holds a lot! It's perfect for those days you go for a walk or a day trip! My leather booties are from Zara and they are so loved if you couldn't tell!
Finished off with a high ponytail and a red lip, this look is versatile and wind friendly. I dare you to mix up patterns and textures like I did. Whether it's leather with polka dots or a sweater with different tones, fall is the time to have fun!
