Among the Butterflies

I came upon a caterpillar yesterday. A big furry one that was slowly moving along. I stopped and kneeled next to it to say hello. As I watched it inch further along the sidewalk, I was filled with hope for this caterpillar that would soon enough become a beautiful butterfly.

One of the greatest american architects, Louis Kahn once pointed out that "Even a brick wants to be something other than what it is..." That it has the desire to be of greater purpose! It's always a good idea to remind oneself that the current situation is not necessarily the end destination!

Molly and I paired up with the local and fabulous boutique KuDeTa for this stunning shoot. We were so excited to style feminine and ultra light pieces from brands like this Free People dress seen above! One of the best parts was accessorizing! With gorgeous gold accents, our grecian goddess theme was right on!

The second look was definitely on the boho side, but even still these looks completely meshed together. With one of the key features in this ensemble being the layering, the first element was this gorgeous light pink slip. Undergarments are a huge must with breezy and light fabrics such as these! Not to mention, it's a subtle touch to any look. Complimented with layered necklaces, I adore this outfit!

Lucky for all you locals: every single piece (besides my shoes) can be found at KuDeTa with locations in Chestnut Hill and South Boston! Stay tuned for more this summer with them! :)
